ABOUT
Erin Nguyen (previously Erin Doyle) is a multi-instrumentalist with a love of music and performing. Erin grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and currently lives in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music Degree in flute performance and a minor in arts management. Erin holds a Master's degree in flute performance and sacred music from the University of North Texas. She also studied piccolo, piano, saxophone, clarinet, jazz flute, organ, bass guitar, and voice.

In December of 2020, Erin was appointed music director of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Garland, Texas. She also spends time teaching private flute lessons, subbing in local orchestras, playing keyboard with her band "Low Key Colors," and doing other freelance work.
Erin has been the winner of multiple professional orchestra auditions. In the fall of 2024 she will join the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra in the position of piccolo/3rd flute.
She is comfortable playing a wide variety of genres and is skilled at sight reading and improvising.

Erin has performed with her colleagues at the Kauffman Center in Kansas City, the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, the Dallas House of Blues, and Carnegie Hall in New York. In her free time Erin enjoys working out and reading, and spending time with her husband.
